SAY IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

the DETAILS

In-person | Hybrid

How often do you fall short when trying to clearly, convincingly, and confidently get your message across “in the moment” — such as when someone asks you a question in a meeting, during a chance encounter, or in any other situation where you want and need to be your most articulate?

This session will teach you a set of little known — but profoundly effective — tools and tips to ensure that you always express yourself with clarity and composure; even when the last thing you were expecting was to be under the spotlight. Get ready to go from flat-footed to polished, poised, and pointed — the first time, and every time!

  • • Elevate your executive presence through oral communication content and delivery

    • Appreciate the importance of readiness and polish in daily interactions, networking events, routine meetings, and higher stakes speaking roles

    • Learn a repeatable strategy for clear and concise responses to questions and contributions to meetings

    • Become aware of communication behaviors related to body language, vocal quality, facial expressions, filler words, eye contact, and physical setup that can help or hurt your executive presence

    • Develop a speaking toolkit so you can make purposeful decisions about how to show up confidently in a range of workplace speaking situations

    • Utilize “before” and “after” videos to demonstrate growth and provide motivation for continued focus on oral communication skills

  • • Early and mid-career professionals who routinely participate in meetings

    • Summer associates, junior associates, and law firm staff

  • 2 or 3 hours, can accommodate large groups

This workshop is a combination of Develop Your Executive Presence: What You Say and Develop Your Executive Presence: How You Say It.
