Strong professional relationships start with self-awareness and personal development. With a better understanding of ourselves, we can better relate to others, communicate more effectively, and accomplish shared goals. In this session, you will explore your communication style, the communication styles of team members, and strategies to listen deeply, respond with respectful assertiveness, handle difficult conversations, promote professional respect, manage nervousness, and build confidence as a speaker.

  • • Understand how DiSC profile types influence communication strategies in internal and external speaking situations

    • Learn a strategy for speaking up in meetings and responding concisely and confidently to questions

    • Explore the five elements of executive presence

    • Develop a toolkit of techniques to convey confidence, speak authentically, and manage nervousness whether you are speaking online or in person, and to an audience of one, several, or many

  • • For mixed groups and all professional levels

  • 2 to 3 hours with completed pre-work, can accommodate large groups as long as the set-up accommodates small groups of 4-5 participants

    Includes collaborative problem solving of case studies, development of a customized plan addressing interpersonal communication with facilitator feedback, and listening exercises that build trust and team cohesion.
