Christine Clapp is the author of Presenting at Work: A Guide to Public Speaking in Professional Contexts and the president of Spoken with Authority, a presentation skills consultancy that develops the voice of experts who want to broaden their impact. She has helped professionals in trade associations, law firms, consulting firms, and corporations since 2008. Her workshops and coaching sessions aim to transform subject experts into thought leaders.Christine is a regular contributor to Toastmaster Magazine, the official publication of Toastmasters International, and serves a lecturer in the Department of Organizational Sciences and Communication at the George Washington University, in Washington, D.C., where she has taught since 2003.Christine holds two degrees in communication: a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University, where she debated at the national and international levels, and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Early in her career, she worked on Capitol Hill for two years as a communications aide to a senator and three years as a communications director for a member of Congress.
